Our Story

We hunt for the places, people and experiences that make Africa unforgettable.

Wild Hunters Safari began with a simple fascination: there is so much more to Africa than the places most travellers see.

As we travelled through Uganda and other parts of Africa, I became increasingly drawn to the uniqueness of the people and their tribes, cultures and places I encountered along the way. Some of these experiences were far from the usual tourist routes. Hidden villages, local traditions, welcoming families, beautiful homestays and small places known mostly by the people who live there. Sometimes, finding them meant knowing someone in the community, taking a different road or simply being curious enough to look beyond the obvious.

Then there was the wilderness itself.

Going into the savannah in search of a lion, tracking a leopard, watching hyenas move through the bush, or following wildlife along dusty roads is an adventure in its own right. You never quite know what you will find. Every journey becomes a search, a discovery and a story to take home.

I began to see a connection between these experiences.

We were hunting!

Not hunting animals, but hunting for the extraordinary, the hidden tribes, places, fascinating cultures, remarkable people, unforgettable wildlife and experiences that are often missed when travelling the ordinary way.

The name Wild Hunters was born from this idea.

We are hunters of experiences. We search for the places that do not always appear on the usual travel lists. We look for authentic encounters with local communities, unique cultural and tribe experiences, beautiful lodges and homestays, and those special moments in the wild that cannot be planned down to the last detail.

Our journey is also about people.

Across Africa, communities have preserved traditions, stories, crafts, ways of life and connections to the land that make each destination unique. Some traditions have survived because communities have held tightly to their way of life, even as the modern world has changed around them. We believe these cultures deserve to be experienced with respect and shared in a way that benefits the people who keep them alive.

That is why I decided to turn my personal journey of discovery into Wild Hunters Safari — a company built around the idea of helping travellers experience Africa differently.

We do not simply want to take you from one famous attraction to another. We want to help you discover the Africa that first fascinated us: the Africa of wild landscapes, hidden wild places, remarkable people, living cultures and unexpected encounters.

From tracking gorillas in jungles and the Big Five across the savannah to sitting with local communities, discovering lesser-known places or finding a beautiful lodge through a local connection, every journey is part of the hunt.
