You need two main permits:
Sagarmatha National Park Entry Permit: ~USD 30.
Khumbu Pasang Lhamu Rural Municipality Entrance Permit: ~USD 20.
TIMS cards are generally no longer required for the standard EBC trek.
Flying drones without prior permission is illegal in Nepal
Travelers must be at least 12 years old, with under 18s accompanied by a guardian.
ATMs are rare beyond Namche. Carry enough Nepalese rupees for tea, snacks, Wi-Fi, and hot showers (approx. NPR 3,000–4,000 per day).
